Today, it was National African-American Parent Involvement Day. We read a book, Guess How Much I Love You, and then did a fun art project that went with the book. Your child should have brought it home today. The kids also practiced reading their "just right" books from their bookbags.

After we worked on the project, we headed up to the music room for our class there with Mr. Hoffman. When we got back down to the classroom, we put the finishing touches on the art project, and then, since February is the Burroughs Read-a-thon month, we spent the rest of the time reading some fun books - we read Farmer Duck, Animals Should Definitely Not Wear Clothing, and Cousin Ruth's Tooth. After all of that, it was time to pack up and go home.
