Sorry for the lack of a post yesterday - I was stuck in meetings all afternoon and into the evening.

Today, after Center Time and Afternoon Meeting, we we talked about our sight word for the week (see) and our magic ending (-ing). After that, we headed to the gym for class there with Mr. Hill and Mr. Peterson.

When we got back down the our room, we had another visit from Megan Pershica, who is the literacy coordinator/teacher at Burroughs. Mrs. Pershica taught a follow-up lesson to the "buddy reading" lesson from Tuesday - the kids learned how to evaluate their work as a 'buddy' using a rubric - they evaluated themselves from a '1' (an "uh-oh" day), to a '3' (a "so-so" day), to a 5 (a "superstar 5" day, which is of course said with a dramatic gesture and voice, as one would expect).

After all of that, we packed up to go home (we will try to go up to the library to check out books at some point tomorrow).
