Today, after Center Time and Morning Meeting, Annie's mom came in to read a cuple of stories about Chinese New Year - we learned a lot about the traditions for the day, and Annie also brought us traditional candy and a red envelope with money in it for good luck this year.

Then we headed up to the music rom for class with Mr. Hofmann When we got back down to the room, we had a PTA mom, Faith McGown, come in to talk to the kids about the Read-a-thon (the Read-a-thon blog is here, if you're interested). Then we read a story about Groundhog Day, and made a groundhog project that the kids took home today.
